Neti, steady, go!

Using the neti pot is easy. It's gross, but in a fun, interesting way, and it clears you out pretty well.

A few weeks ago, I made a batch of neti pot pins to celebrate the wonder and glory of not having a head full of mucus. I invited everyone to either give me a photo of them using their neti pot or some sort of neti pot-related art or poetry in exchange for a button. So now I'm posting it all. Thanks so much to everyone who wrote, drew, composed, or just posed for the neti pot button exchange.

Kristykay is awesome because she has rhymed "neti" with "Getty" and "yeti," and because she was the first person to send me something for this. I am so giving her a neti pot pin the next time I see her.

Choo gets style points for her late-night neti performance. There are very few activities that aren't made better by a sarcastic thumbs-up.

She glued googly eyes on hers, so it looks like an elephant now. Double style points, plus a button for Choo! I can hardly stand it!

Billy got off work last night and ran a quick pot through for the camera. He also told me a gross story about getting ropes of mucus stuck in his mustache, and he gave me a sip of his satanically strong imperial stout, netting him a neti pot button.

Eric tried the neti pot way back in January. I love how sweetly he's smiling in this picture. He loves his neti pot so. He even wrote a poem on the mini parasite blog he occasionally keeps in the comment section of the Kneepad Vendor's final post:

I love neti pots. They cleanse your nose of many snots. What the kneepad vendor hasn't got, is my nasal cleansing water shot.

I originally made the button just for him, so of course he already got one.

Roone went and got all whimsical for his neti pot sketch. He says it's a neti pot for a gorilla. I think a gorilla would crush you to a pulp before it would let you pour a pot of lukewarm water through its sinuses, but maybe I just don't know gorillas. Anyway, good job, Roo. You've earned your button for sure.

Carolynn gets a button for posing while using the neti pot (a really nice one, looks like), and Benji gets a button for sending the photo in. Thanks, guys. Neti on!

St. Murse earned the shit out of his button for writing and performing a neti pot song on his ukulele.

It's been about two years since we've had a contributor to the neti-pot button/art exchange, so I'm quite excited to bring you these photos of Jen in New York, who cleanses her nasal passages with a whimsical and attractive ceramic duck neti pot. It's so cute! Thanks for the pictures, Jen. Your button will be on the way any day now.
