Really, I had so much fun in Seattle. The only bad thing was a medium-strength cold that made me cranky and distant for a few days. I'm not the most engaged and outgoing person in the best of times, so trying to navigate a strange city with a head full of crap and a fistful of Kleenex was a bit challenging. But I ignored it as best I could and had a great time. It would have been impossible not to. We saw old friends, made new ones, ate seafood, drank gallons of beer and coffee and came away with a bunch of pictures, trinkets, and so many stupid inside jokes you'd think we just spent a week at band camp. And for the super deluxe cherry on top, I got to watch a ferocious electrical storm in profile from the plane on the way home. It was so good it made my stomach clench.
But we will explore all this in detail tomorrow. Right now I'm going to eat some pizza and sit on the couch with my big drooling cat.
